Risk Assessment (Complimentary to our New Members) |
Includes a
sub-maximal exercise screening, cholesterol screening (total
cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides), glucose screening for
diabetes, blood pressure, and body fat analysis. A written
report will be sent to your home summarizing your results.

Cardiac
Rehabilitation |
A
comprehensive program consisting of EKG monitored exercise, health
education, and support. It assists people who are recovering
from or experiencing a heart problem return to an active life.
Exercise sessions are carefully supervised by specially trained
registered nurses and exercise physiologists with experience in
cardiology and advanced life support. |
Physical
& Occupational Therapy |
Licensed
therapists from Christ Medical Center provide physical and
occupational therapy sessions on-site. Treatment plans are
designed to suit each individual's specific needs, motivations and
abilities. |
Nutrition
Counseling |
A registered dietitian works with
both individuals and groups to address weight loss and disease management programs.
Healthy cooking classes are also held throughout the year.
Recipes and food samples are given at the classes. |
Monthly
Heart Risk Assessment Results Meeting |
All members are
welcome. A registered dietitian will discuss healthy eating
and its influence on cholesterol. An exercise physiologist
will discuss risk factors of heart disease and how lifestyle
modifications can alter them.

Regularly scheduled programs and
lectures are presented on a variety of health and wellness topics. |
