When it’s time to turn your workout routine in a new direction, you can find the right path right here at our facilities whether it’s in water or on land. Our Illinois fitness facility has group fitness classes that are free to our members and there is no registration required, so you can just walk in whenever you feel like it. At Riviera Sports Center, our aquatics classes meet in our indoor pool and offer an invigorating way to build strength and get moving.
Our certified and experienced instructors in Illinois lead more than 40 classes every week in our large aerobic studio that features a cushioned “Action Thrust” maple floor. Each month you can check out what we have on tap in our current class schedule.
Some of our classes include:
ZUMBA: Music and moves mingle in this dance-based fitness craze.
Turbo Kick: High energy and lots of sweat will be the result of this class that is seen as a cardio challenge, bringing together kickboxing and dancing.
Strength Training: Fitness is not based on cardio alone. That is where classes like this fit in to help you build strength and muscle tone through weights, bands, and tubes.
Pilates: Working on a mat, participants use resistance, stretching and strengthening moves to create a lean look.
Step: This traditional class can be tailored by participants as a low-impact or higher-intensity workout.
Group cycling: All levels of exercisers can pedal their way to getting fit.
Boot camp: Team skills and drills are featured in this army-style cardio and strength class.
Cardio mix: Class facilitators change up this class, so you can always keep your body guessing.
Jump into our indoor pool to join a class. We keep our water at a comfortable temperature for our users to have a great experience. Our Illinois water classes still offer a full-body workout whether you are seeking something harder or are starting out at a more basic level.
Some examples of our aquatics classes include:
ZumWata: Taking ZUMBA into the pool is a fun avenue to get moving.
Power Packed Aquatics: A challenging session that is for the advanced exerciser. This brings together speed and the resistance of water in an environment that eases the burden on bones and joints.
Aquatic Interval: Cardio and strength are touched on in this unique interval class.
